I did not know Tayrona was closed so I plan to postpone the trip until next month. Nice and helpful article. Also, the tip about taking a boat to Tayrona is a good one. And I was looking to spend a couple of those days around Santa Marta including Tayrona! I see you mention April as a specifically not great time to visit the park.
